Hillary Kerr Shares the Timeless Jewelry Collection at the Top of Her Holiday Wish List

Who What Wear founder Hillary Kerr is one of the most stylish women we know, and with two decades of experience in the fashion industry, she's a wonderful resource for style tips, product recommendations, and gift ideas. This year, Tiffany & Co.'s HardWear Collection is taking the number one spot on Kerr's holiday wish list. "The Hardwear collection is strong, elegant, and unapologetically cool. I'm deeply obsessed with it," Kerr explains. So much so, that she spent the morning at the brand's Rodeo Drive boutique trying on her favorite pieces from the collection (in the name of research, of course!). "Everything looks so festive and dazzling during the holidays, so it's only appropriate to match that energy with some sparkle of one's own, right?" Right.

Kerr has been collecting jewelry for years, not only because it adds personality and character to her daily uniform, but also because it's timeless. "I always think of jewelry as future heirlooms that will continue to give joy for decades to come. I love the idea of passing it down to beloved family members and special people in your life," she says. For Kerr jewelry always makes for an excellent present because she goes by the rule of gifting items people may not otherwise indulge in. "It's not something most of us buy on a day-to-day basis. It's also fundamentally sentimental, which makes it the perfect present, at least for me! And let's be honest, there's nothing that makes you feel quite as celebratory as incredible fine jewelry."

In the boutique, Kerr tried on her favorites from the collection. "The whole collection comes in a variety of sizes and lengths, so you can layer necklaces with abandon and personalize your own curated collection of bracelets. I also love the idea of a HardWear ring on the pinky finger—it feels like a more modern version of a signet, but with an of-the-moment attitude."

Today, the modern collection features bracelets, earrings, rings, and necklaces in rose, white, and yellow gold (Kerr's favorite).

While it's nearly impossible to choose just one piece, we did ask Kerr to narrow down her dream gifts. "I'm personally into yellow gold, and the Graduated Link Necklace and the Medium Link Necklace are at the top of my list. I also wouldn't be upset with the full diamond version of either piece…if we're dreaming." And as for what she would gift to someone else: "I'd give my mom either the Graduated Link Necklace with Diamonds or the Medium Link Bracelet with Pave Diamonds. She is an incredibly kind woman who didn't have the easiest life as a kid, and she went out of her way to raise a strong daughter who was confident in her voice. I wouldn't be who I am or where I am today without her determination to make a better life for me, and she deserves all of the love and appreciation (and diamonds!)."
