4 Beauty Looks Our Editors Love
Since the iconic Italian House launched its new makeup collection, I’ve wanted to put it to the test as part of our series A Full Face Of. For those unfamiliar, let me enlighten you.
A Full Face Of is where we beauty editors take on the challenge of creating a makeup look using only one brand. It’s a deep dive into the colours, textures, pigments and formulas that define a makeup collection, and we get to see how versatile (or surprising) the products are. For this instalment, I teamed up with beauty journalist and Who What Wear UK contributor Ata-Owaji Victor to create four distinct looks that can appeal to all makeup tastes: fresh and classic for daytime, and flawless and bold for the evening.
There’s something very special about sitting down to begin your makeup routine with products that exude the luxury and allure you want to feel. The beauty of Dolce&Gabbana has long been synonymous with glamour, but now it’s not just for red carpets and big calendar moments—it’s for every version of you.
The Collection
As we played with the products, it became clear that Dolce&Gabbana’s makeup isn’t just beautifully packaged—it’s designed to bring out your confidence and enhance your natural beauty, whether you want an effortless glow through the day or are looking to dial up the drama at night.
But let’s talk about the packaging for a moment, because it’s deserved. Featuring baroque hearts with decadent embellished details, and large compacts with the signature DG monogram in mirrored gold, it’s giving luxury. This is the lavish Italian romance that is Dolce&Gabbana in makeup form.

Now, let’s discuss what’s really important: my favourite products. First up,
Everlast Foundation. Available in an impressive 40 shades, it promises to work
as hard as you do—its non-comedogenic, “life-proof” formula delivers full coverage,
a matte finish and 24-hour wear, all whilst remaining comfortable.
Think flawless skin that looks like yours, only better. Then there’s the My Comfy Matte Lip Stylo, a standout product designed to sculpt and enhance the lips with
a creamy, one-swipe formula that feels as good as it looks, leaving them with a smooth, velvety finish.
Alongside these go-to products there are others with a little more flair and flamboyance (see the Eye Dare You eyeshadow palette, for example) that invite you to experiment, embrace your individuality and above all, have fun. From effortless daytime radiance to unapologetically bold evening glam, we tried the entire collection and created looks that speak to many different occasions and makeup styles. Now, which one is most you?

For my daytime look, the goal was simple: enhance, not mask. I started with an illuminating primer for the perfect base—weightless, brightening and hydrating, with a soft apricot tint that gave my skin an instant glow. Topped with Everlast Foundation, it created a natural, second-skin finish that looked radiant yet real rather than overly matte or dewy. Instead of layering multiple products, I opted for multi-purpose. Face&Eyes Match Bronzer in Medium Deep warmed up my skin as both bronzer and eye shadow, delivering a subtle depth that didn’t overpower.

To complement the primer’s apricot undertone, I leaned into peachy tones for the rest of the look—they bring a soft warmth and freshness to the skin. It’s a nod to the “clean girl” aesthetic that has become super popular over the past two years: easy, effortless beauty that feels polished but not overdone. Plus, peachy tones are like a little injection of summer into your makeup, even on the gloomiest of winter days. A soft flush of peach blush tied it all together, whilst the lipstick in shade MY 03.12 gave my lips a peachy-nude tint that was clean and wearable. Finally, the black Everfull XL Mascara defined my lashes without clumping—it’s buildable, but I kept it minimal for this look.

Wintery mornings always feel better with a pop of colour. Paired with a light, daytime-friendly wash of Dolce&Gabbana’s Everlast Foundation, My Comfy Matte Lip Stylo (in shade MY 2018) works as the perfect cool-toned red to offset the grey skies. It’s a fantastic balance between pigmented colour and a rich matte payoff that’s perfect for days when you want your blush and eye shadow to take a backseat. The sleek bullet makes lining the lips easy before venturing into the centre of your pout, and despite its matte finish, the lipstick feels hydrating thanks to hyaluronic acid and Sicilian avocado. As all the best makeup looks aren’t complete without at least a touch of eye shadow, a quick swipe of Face&Eyes Lasting Bronzer & Eyeshadow Powder on the lids worked perfectly as a softer approach to colour.

When the sun goes down, a little extra glam feels right. For my evening look, I used the same base products as the first look but built on coverage with Everlast Foundation, layering it lightly for a polished, high-coverage finish. To amp up the eyes, I reached for the Gemstone Eyeshadow Palette, using its bronze and gold tones to create a soft shimmer across my lids. There’s something about these tones that feels so appropriate for this time of year—they’re warm and inviting, like candlelight on your skin, and they perfectly complemented the gold accents of my outfit.
Unlike Ata’s bold and daring evening look, mine is soft, sultry and elevated without being too dramatic. The black That’s My Line eyeliner added precision and just the right amount of drama, whilst Everfull XL Mascara made my lashes bold and impactful. For lips, I went richer with My Comfy Matte Lip Stylo in MY 1981; a warm brown-toned nude that felt sophisticated and grounded the entire look.

When crafting a party-worthy makeup look, for me, all roads lead to the eyes.
So for some flare and bold, eye-catching colour, a touch of Eye Dare You! Multi-finish Eyes & Cheeks Palette in Unapologetic, a matte taupe, and Outrageous, a silver glitter, provided an elevated eye look perfect for dancing the night away. All of the colours in the palette—even those lighter than my skin tone—showed up as advertised with just one swipe, so it’s a palette I’ll keep reaching for when I want to create soft, shimmery looks for the day and showstopping looks at night, time and again.
